Dr Who

Permit me to froth, over what I think is a VERY good episode? I mean, the concept behind the angels is just fundamentally deliciously creepy.
The church army was funky, and River Song is still a very cool character. Although, starting to give a vibe that her connection with the doctor might actually be partly a shenanigan - y'know, don't tell him why you know him, and just pretend it's not because you're not just stitching him up to help you out on a heist or something.

Liked the 'message from the past' bit though. That was pretty cool.

And ... well, yeah. I can see why a previous thing with Moffat had a comparison Alien to Aliens drawn. Because ... well, yeah.

Amy remains a good solid companion - being the person who asks questions of the inscrutable doctor, but also with enough of a head on her shoulders to ... well, y'know, pause the TV at the right point :).

Really looking forward to next week - that episode was rather cool though.

I now want to watch it again, just to see if there are any... hints... of the twist when our heroes are first wandering through the caves.

As for River - I suspect the Doctor is a good influence on her. So the River earlier on may not be as benevolent as the River who we saw at the end of her last appearance.

One difference, that I like, is that Amy is allowed to solve problems. Sure, the Doctor does so more, but she figures stuff out herself, has her own perspective. Donna did that somewhat, but not as much, whereas Martha only really started doing it after she left the Doctor.
