Dr Who
I actually quite liked it. It was a bit on the light side, yes, but post-regeneration episodes tend to be - because they're looking to 'establish' the new doctor's actor, as the Doctor.

So I'm ok with how it went. It had some proper creepyness of the 'small child hiding behind the sofa' variety, and a hint at the season plot.
Enough of a quirky doctor, but with that last bit at the end, sort of bringing forth that the Doctor has been around for a long time, and is Not To Be Messed With (tm).

I have always liked the notion that the Doctor has the quirky frivolous layer with a 900+ year old, very cold alien underneath - the 'companion' thing is almost entirely to remind him what compassion and empathy really are, because otherwise he does make the tough decisions and everyone dies.

Not a blinder of an episode, but IMO substantially better than the average from the past few seasons. Which ... well, says it all really.
Bring it on Moffat.

It was brilliant and having watched it since it began!!!! Never hiding behind the sofa! it had the power and ability to make you want to watch it. I am well pleased with this new Dr. although I thought David Tenant brought it into the 21st century. I can't wait for next week.mum
