Maelstrom Froth - Ed's journal
Maelstrom Froth
Well, I'm back from Maelstrom. I really enjoyed it. Despite the not-exactly-tropical weather, I had a lot of fun.

There was singing, dancing, pirate alphabet (twice), initiations, praying, ceremonies in stone circles, and offering to sinister gods.
Death a plenty, angst and drama, a porn shoot (yay dryad porn), a party that went 'all a bit jaguar' even without me there.
A doomsayer, telling people about doom and gloom, whilst hopped upon euphorics, so being not very gloomy about telling people the end of the world was nigh.
Much jiggling in a grass skirt, a rather humorously shaped pouring jug filled with baileys.

Many lovely people to talk to, and many characters likewise.

Didn't die, and generally had a blast.
Seem to have come home with a bit of a lurgy and a lack of sleep, which I shall be remedying with pizza.

And to top it all off, Dr Who is currently downloading on iPlayer.

Definitely the most important bits of festing! Glad it was so good!

Presumably your character must be getting quite powerful by now, how easy would it be for it to go all Pete Tong?

Sadly, Thorn really isn't all that powerful. He's just quite old. It would be very easy to go all a bit wrong, it only takes an unfortunate encounter in the dark.

That happened a lot this event - there were many people 'missing presumed dead' at the end.

I did watch the weather with you guys in mind and noticed it was better than the BBC predicted.
