Dress down?
Is it a bad idea to go to a 'dress down day' wearing a frock coat and waistcoat?

Ain't gonna happen, mind you. :P

If that's all you were planning on wearing I'd go for: yes, it's a bad idea.

You can expect a bit of ribbing

From your colleauges but other than that it should be okay. Are you customer faceing? I have explained to my bosses that us Goths don't dress down we dress up and as long as it can't be misconstrued as Fancy Dress, they tend to be okay. I tend to wear Victorian on our dress down days and have gotten away with Corsets as long as I wear a long sleeved fully buttoned up shirt underneath. Keep it smart and you should be okay
