Desktop Support Analyst - Canary Wharf – 199002








We are currently looking for a Desktop Support Analyst to provide a wide range of engineering services to one of our clients based in Canary Wharf, London Docklands, involving equipment installation/configuration/upgrades/moves and fault resolution.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Support to c1500 end users on site & remotely.
To respond to all allocated calls on both the hardware and software platforms supported in the customers environment and to resolve the problems within the agreed SLA parameters.
To carry out installations of new equipment to agreed configurations, ensuring that equipment is fully operational.
To carry out equipment upgrades and moves as required, including upgrades or re-configurations of software
To provide accurate records and detailed documentation for all supported systems.
To demonstrate a high standard of customer handling and be able to communicate at senior levels within the customer environment on technical / administrative issues
Experience/Knowledge required:

Essential

Creating & managing user accounts
Granting file permissions in accordance with company policies & procedures.
Knowledge of RSA secure ID server (adding & removing accounts)
Able to manage & maintain asset database and user software subscriptions.
2nd level smartbadge logon support
Ability to follow IP procedures.
Assist other staff with monitoring the UK Computer Security Mailbox
MS Exchange / MS Office 2003.
Basic knowledge of Net-working protocols.
Troubleshooting hardware (IBM Thinkpads/HP desktops).
Microsoft Active Directory & Windows XP Desktop support.
DNS/TCPIP
Desirable

Citrix Support.
Being able to transfer profiles across from existing machines.
Experience of using ghosting/imaging software.
Experience of using Remedy (call management system).
ITIL Awareness

Infrastructure Engineer - Runcorn – 198750



We are looking for a Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Runcorn.

This role specialises in the management, implementation, administration and maintenance of the Desktop Technical Testing Infrastructure which consists of hardware, software and services.

As an Infrastructure Engineer your responsibilities will include:

To provide server, desktop and laptop builds and support, fixing faults, monitoring and supporting users of the Banks test environment.
To support the clients test environment. Implement changes and support / assist the test team during testing.
Ensure that test environment components, including but not limited to Hardware and Software, and Active Directory, system management, network and connectivity components are maintained and managed at the appropriate levels
Completing environment documentation, including designs, configuration information, processes, workflows and components. Maintain and refresh following every Operational Change and upgrade
Managing Application installations, de-installations and image rebuilds in response scheduling requests.
Undertaking preventative maintenance for all Pre-Production Environments
Raise incidents (break / fix) or defects that occur before, during or after a test event.
Project manage changes, upgrades or incidents across all environments.
Respond to requests for machine rebuilds and delivery of software packages into the Pre-production environments
Create and maintain user test accounts
What we need:

Typically has at hands-on experience in the ICT Industry directly related to Systems, Build and Infrastructure Support management in a Test environment.
Setting machine group policies and scripting permissions.
Active Directory and administration of security and group policies.
Administering and including security updates.
Knowledge and experience of different imaging technologies.
Intimate knowledge of software distribution systems.
Scripting unattended server and workstation builds
Has practical experience of using enterprise class incident management systems to track and escalate client incidents in line with agreed service levels.
Willing to work late or at weekends when requested to achieve test event SLAs and project timelines
Technical Skills / Competencies

The role is hands-on and therefore an ability to work with the current Microsoft OS and back office products is essential
Ideally have experience and understanding of most of the following hardware & software products
Active Directory, Windows Infrastructure DNS / WIN / DHCP / DFS, Windows 2003 and Windows XP, Exchange, SQL Server
Qualifications

Will be MCP qualified; MCSE preferred.
Demonstrate a desire to acquire on a steep learning curve those skill areas in which they are lacking

We are looking for a Database Administrator based in Milton Keynes.

This position is to work within a Managed Service DBA Team which currently comprises 8 DBAs, specialising in Oracle and SQL Server. We currently provide remote database administration services for 100+ Oracle databases and 100+ SQL Servers. Our primary support platforms are Oracle 10g, 9i and 8i running on Solaris, AIX and Windows and SQL Server 200/2005 running on Windows 2000/2003. The team also supports Ingres and Progress.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

To support and maintain customer databases.
To provide DBA Support to project, development and infrastructure teams.
To ensure that all SLAs are maintained.
Assist the team with proactive improvements to internal processes.
To participate in the change control process.
To participate in the teams out-of-hours on-call support rota
KEY SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND QUALITIES:

Essential Requirements:

Excellent SQL Server database administration experience. It is likely that the applicant will have demonstrable Database Administration experience in a production environment.
An aptitude for problem-solving in a multi-disciplinary environment.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Flexibility as regards working hours
Preferred Requirements:

Oracle DBA
Knowledge of Oracle Apps.
Knowledge of RAC or SQL Server clusters.
OCP or MCDBA qualifications

Service Development Manager - UK Wide - 198002



We are looking for a Service Development Manager to support clients throughout the UK.

The team focuses on four key objectives: (i) direct support to sales as delivery subject matter experts; (ii) new customer service transition; (iii) existing customer service transformation; (iv) transition of new corporate solution such as Managed Branch (Managed DBX) and Future Ready Workspace (FRW) into the delivery organization.

The Service Development team supports and assists the sales force in winning profitable business through: -

The analysis and understanding of customer requirements
Translation of requirements into sustainable service solutions, leveraging corporate standards for services and solutions
Ownership of resource and cost models
Documentation of service transition model and pricing assumptions.
Risk analysis and mitigation recommendations
Documentation of service solutions that can be referenced during the sales cycle

Skills & Experience - Essential

Staff management experience in the ICT industry
Able to demonstrate experience in managing Service Delivery to clients in full scope of systems, networks and desktop outsourcing
Experience of service delivery and operational delivery trend analysis
Ownership for delivery of service to clients with in excess of 1000 seats / devices
Market Knowledge including some of: -Banking & Finance, Government, Retail.
Commercial knowledge - project pricing, estimating, contractual awareness and TUPE awareness.
Awareness of the roadmaps of Microsoft, Citrix, Cisco, Midrange
Demonstrable Pro-active relationship building, clearly a go to person within the organisation
Desirable

Awareness of Business Process Improvement principles.
Service delivery line management experience.
Technical architecture experience
Qualifications

ITIL Foundation Certificate.
PRINCE2 Foundation Certificate
