Walking with sticks
In a vague attempt to not end Maelstrom suffering quite as much as I have in the past:
Where would you buy a walking stick?

I don't know, where would you buy a walking stick?

...or is this not the opening line of a joke?

I got mine from the tobacconists on our high street. The Timpsons lot usually sell them as well and they seem to be everywhere, so that's probably a good place to look.

Garden Centres.
We went to one in Romsey and they sold a selection of craft style ones for ramblers. Between 3ft and 5ft long.

Salts and Timpsons are both good places in Cov to look, off the top of my head.

I caneither lend you Philos stick if you like (he wouldn't mind lending it to thorn) or I might be able to borrow one of mums if you don't manage to find one.

Text me if you want one though, as I am unsure of my current access over the next few days due to computer troubles.

We have various stores round here which overlap the boundary between camping and army-surplus type stuff, which is where I'd look. Dunno if you have something similar nearby...

Jade's parent's shop sell them for around 20 quid a pop - it is where I got mine from.
