Come visit north Wales. There an excuse to drive somewhere! You could see the castle scenery etc or even pop by and have a cup of tea or beeer or something!

And go back via Newcastle, the scenery is not as stunning as North Wales, although beer offer is still there :D

Hmm, Coventry - Snowdonia - Newcastle and back again adds up to a little shy of 600 miles. Which should be doable on a tank of fuel :). And assuming a decent average speed is only about 10 hours of driving.

So, does this offer still stand? I'm thinking of doing a bit of exploring in the not too distant future.

Don't drive anywhere and save on your carbon emissions.

Bring your friends with you to Leicester on Sunday and you'll be saving the planet by car sharing!

Ecologically responsible?

Of course you are!

If you need an excuse ....

Give Geocaching a chance (http://www.geocaching.com - official site / http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geocache - explanation).
Before that me and my GF had the problem where to go for a weekends journey.
It gave a distinctive edge on choosing our journey goals AND has a little kind of reward for oneself when you get the cache ;)

Also GeoCaches are normally at rewarding places in the nature with scenic views, great pieces of nature etc.

Get yourself an impression on some of my journeys recently.

BTW: I am planning to visit a cache in iceland at the fanfest too - if your are interested - join ;)
