Reverse psychology. Don't wanna change? Fine. I didn't want you to change anyway. It's probably for the best. Yeah, now that I think about it, you probably wouldn't be able to anyway...

Slowly. It's a sad truth that most people don't think past the near future. If you can plan for the long term, most people won't realise things are changing until they've already got used to how things have changed.

Fear, surprise, ruthless efficiency, an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope, and nice red uniforms - Oh damn! :)

Probably easier to withdraw and find a world more closely aligned with your aims. Don't ask me how.

With guns, kung-fu, high explosives and a firm knowledge of geomancy.

Such a world doesn't want to change because it is expressing an active belief. That belief must be idenitified and its underpinnings numbered and detailed. With this in hand one may be able to present new evidence to contradict the underpinnings and so reduce the influence of the belief. Eventually the belief may be converted into an inactive belief, i.e. 'the world is flat' was once seen as scientific fact now that it is not. If someone said to you, the world is flat, you would react and say no it isn't. This is because your belief in a round world is active, active beliefs demand expression; They force us to do and react.

A number of quotes to help illustrate the point:

'Man is what he believes'
Anton Chekov

'They can because they think they can'

'The mind is its own place, and in it self Can make Heav'n of Hell, a Hell of Heav'n'
John Molton

'Our bodies are gardens . . . our wills are gardeners'
William Shakespeare

You turn it upside down and run a sharp knife from head to tail. You then scoop out the guts. Then lay it down on its side and scrape of the scales, turn over and repeat. Then gently slice from the gills down to the tail keeping the knife close to the central bone structure, turn over and repeat and Voila 2 nice fillets. Oh sorry you wanted a changed world, not a filleted fish oh well at least you've learned something practical!!

The trick is not to change the world, but to stop it changing for the worse.

With you.

Since reality is mostly perceptual, if you change you, the world changes around you.
