SINergy. - Ed's journal
Well, that went about as well as could be expected.
Ya'know. Considering.

Looks like we had a few player kills.

That's going to take some straightening out... Not least of which because in at least one of the situations, we've had a 'Ref Call, is this character dead?' situation. I mean, it's one thing when it's clear and obvious in a straight fight...

I do feel somewhat for those involved - I don't think there's many roleplayers out there who'll just shrug off a character, especially one they really enjoyed playing.

I'm not going to say more, because the matter is being discussed.

Other than that, we had a couple of new faces getting hooked in to the reffing thing. Personally, I think they did splendidly. We had a couple of new faces DJing, and one rather older face. It was also good to see that the previous session's newbies from Lincoln returned too.

Back to work today, to a deluge of helldesk calls. Always good for a laugh. Oh well.

Ref call player death's .... ouch. That was one of the reasons why the first vampire larps at Warwick died. The main reason, IMO, was the refs allowing the game to devolve into one player blood bonded 80% of the player base. Being an associate ref I share some of the blame, not all because it was as much a surprise to me as to some of the players.

You're doing the players a public service, you and Andrew are the game mothers. Considering this did the players bring you flowers? box of chocs? nice meal out? Surely a card or two?

Carry on, this too will pass.
