EVE IC post

planning to post this to the Interstellar summit forum

Researchers, Engineers and investors sought for an ambitious project.

A few days ago, a close personal friend of mine made something of a research breakthrough.
He managed to extend a warp containment field, outside the confines of his ship.

A relatively minor thing, you may say. Not entirely.
You see, our hastily assembled research team has concluded that the possiblities of such a technique are colossal. We've started the project, and are looking for enthusiastic and eager researchers and engineers to help us develop a planetary warp drive.

We're seeking to develop this tech to the point where we can move moons and planets across starsystems. Ideally also through jumpspace. I'm sure you can imagine how many areas this capability might affect.

Our initial research indicates that even with an extended warp field, it's not possible to maintain a viable biosphere. We will be looking to develop 'proper' environmental shielding, however that's really only a secondary application of the project.

Our primary project aims are twofold.

Mineral extraction, as a result of collisions between two stellar bodies.

Strategic weaponry potential of a stellar mass exiting warp space.

Our core project team is assembled, and we're starting construction of our research facility in the very near future.

What we're looking for now, is additional research, engineering and support staff.

We're also seeking ambitious investors.

We can't guarantee the viability of the project. So much depends upon breakthrough and investment. We're sufficiently confident that we're prepared to put most of our own personal funds behind it. Regardless of the success or failure of the prime project we do expect some useful technological spin-offs from the research. Any such discoveries, will be produced under license by investors in the holding company that we will be forming for the purposes of this project. Some of the profit being re-invested in the research, the remainder being distributed amongst investors.

We're optimistically looking at developments in:
speed and accuracy of warp and jump drives. Possibly even refining these to the level of being accurately able to arrive at a target point safely.
Mineral extraction techniques, using asteroid collisions to make collection of deep core minerals faster.
Energy efficiency techniques.
Environmental containment fields.

Should our research bear fruit, we would expect there to be something of a shift in the balance of power in the galaxy, and as such we wished to avoid direct links to any given faction.
The small core research team wish to remain anonymous, due to concerns over their personal safety. Obviously, there will be some notable power blocks looking to control and or supress such a fantastic new discovery.

If you're interested in finding out more, or offering assistance or investment, please drop me an eve-mail. I can't guarantee I'll be able to answer questions directly, however I can forward them to our research team.

Have the researchers tried this warp bubble on small ship sized asteroids and such yet?..

No, but that's the first step in the project.
