When configuring a network printer, turning on 'DHCP' after allocating and setting a static IP address really isn't a very good idea.

That's also why we have DHCP-assigned static addresses. Even if you don't use it, it makes a good place to log your statically-assigned IP's. See your router/DHCP server for details.

Indeed. A lovely idea that. Let down by the simple flaw of those that control the DHCP, not trusting those that deploy the printers to be anything more than monkeys...
